Marble
The term "marble" is said to come from the Greek marmaros, meaning "shining stone".
Marble is a rock derived from limestone, which has a soft and homogeneous appearance to the touch. It owes its name to its marbling, coloured veins that make it so original. It is available in various colours, although the most common is white marble.
Marble has become an integral part of designer interiors.
Quartz
Quartz can be natural or synthetic, and can also be used to make other materials such as composite stone. It is one of the hardest materials in the world, which makes it very resistant to impacts and scratches. In addition, quartz has a very low porosity, unlike marble for example. It is not affected by water or acidity, which makes it easy to maintain.
Granite
Granite is a natural stone with a granular appearance. It is a hard stone that is resistant to impact and heat. This makes it an ideal candidate for kitchen worktops, and granite is also highly resistant to acid. Unlike marble, it does not contain any limestone.
